Fox saying “Wannabe dictator” too far, but when Washington Post said it about Trump it was fine. Writer #1, 2023-06-162023-06-16 On July 10, 2020 at 11:04 a.m. EDT, The Washington Post published this headline: “Twelve signs Trump would try to run a fascist dictatorship in a second term”. Credit: https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/fascist-dictatorship-trump-second-term/2020/07/10/63fdd938-c166-11ea-b4f6-cb39cd8940fb_story.html When Trump is president, The Washington Post creates the “dictator” headline. When Biden is president, The Washington Post is suddenly appalled at the “dictator” talk. Call me crazy, but saying that “Trump would try to run a fascist dictatorship” seems to imply that he wants to be a dictator, which is strikingly similar to calling him a “wannabe dictator”. It’s the same thing. The article goes on to give all the evidence that Trump is a dictator. Any of them are more fitting to apply to Biden than to Trump, but number 8 might be my favorite: That’s pretty rich considering they investigated Trump during his entire first presidency (subtle implication that there will be another) and now they are dragging him into court and trying to lock him up for life. So by the criteria given by the Washington Post, Biden is a wannabe dictator. Opinion bidentrump
