Obama’s Ridiculous Remarks on the Electoral College Writer #1, 2016-12-22 Source: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/obama-press-conference-the-president-electoral-college-debate/ The allegedly United States born president, Barack Hussein Obama, is not pleased that his little voting soldiers didn’t follow his commands to vote for Hillary Clinton. One of the things he has decided to growl at is the electoral college, which screwed Hillary Clinton out of a win, despite her accrual of more votes in the 2016 election. Former President Obama called the electoral college a “vestige” and a “carryover” from the time of the founding fathers, when they “put a lot of premium on states”. Dude, do you have any idea what the name of this country is? The United States of America.Yes, there is a lot of premium on states because we are made up of states which are united, hence the name, The United STATES. What a salesman, trying to make people think that “Her” loss was because she was just too modern and advanced for our antiquated voting process. As usual, there’s the truth, and then there’s Obama’s rhetoric. The electoral college wasn’t a mistake or an over-engineered system, or a shortcut to counting votes. It was an intentionally crafted system of regulating the vote count and throttling runaway states with large pockets of retards, like California. It was created so that small states would have a fair and reasonable power proportional to their population. The other nonsense that spewed forth from Former President Obama is this: But the truth of the matter is that if we have a strong message if we’re speaking to what the American people care about, typically the popular vote and the Electoral College vote will align. “Typically, the popular and electoral college vote will align”, he says. Well, they didn’t. I’m detecting an implication that something didn’t work as it should have. His view on it is likely that he thinks it was just some shortcut to vote counting, but indeed, it is not. Its purpose was served. The electoral vote did not reflect the popular vote, and look how unbalanced the votes were: 2016 Presidential Election Results By County Again, I say that the electoral college served its purpose.
