Pardoning Impropriety – The Reckless Pardoning of Hunter Biden Writer #1, 2024-12-062024-12-06 The Pardoning On December 1, 2024, Joe Biden issued a blanket pardon to his son, Hunter, covering all crimes, known and unknown, which he may or may not have committed or been involved with between 2014 and 2024. Remember when the democrats accused Trump of “abuse of power”, and touted “no one is above the law”, all for things which were fabricated and proven hoaxes? Well, here we are, witnessing Joe Biden abusing his power and putting his own criminal son above the law. Funny how that works, isn’t it? What’s also funny is he admits no embarrassment for it, whatsoever. No shame. No recognition that it’s as hypocritical as he could possibly be. There’s just a matter of fact attitude, pretending it’s so obvious that Hunter was somehow unfairly treated for his crime and corruption spree which he recorded on his laptop which has been entered into the Congressional Record by Matt Gaetz. Of course, it’s only obvious if you’re a “reasonable person”. If you don’t agree then consider yourself gaslit. Your ability to reason is suspect. The Pre-Pardon Text The way he starts the pardon statement feels like a mind-game (because it is), stating that Hunter only filled out a gun form incorrectly and was late paying his taxes due to addiction complications. From my understanding, it wasn’t just some clerical error on the form, it was an intentional lie. Those are two different things. Also, he wasn’t late paying taxes because in actuality he never paid the taxes. “Late” is not the same as “unpaid”. Those are two different things. See how the lies just pile up? Right from the start, the deception is so thick it’s hard to get through it. Everything he says is misdirection, gaslighting, mischaracterizing, and exaggeration. There are so many lies to obfuscate the mess that they created and make you think the Bidens are somehow victims in this world. He uses those issues (the gun form and unpaid taxes) because that’s what Hunter was prosecuted for, so that makes sense, in that regard. To be honest, access to guns is supposed to be uninfringed (see US Constitution, Second Amendment) and income taxes are communist and unamerican (see The 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto), so I don’t really care so much about those “crimes”. What I do care about is Hunter abusing his dad’s position to make deals with foreign nations; deals which were personally profitable to Hunter, “the Big Guy”, and the entire Biden family, while compromising the nation’s safety, security, and wellbeing. So, right off the bat, they have us fighting about the wrong thing, but that’s no surprise as that’s what they always do. Back to the pardon text: There has been an effort to break Hunter – who has been five and a half years sober This is likely another lie. Remember that cocaine in the White House? Remember seeing the video of Hunter on the White House balcony wiping his nose like he just did a line of coke? I’d bet anything that Hunter is not “five and a half years sober”. But let’s just say that he is. So what? Why in the world would the entire legal system be hoping to “break Hunter”? How narcissistic are the Bidens to commit crimes and then accuse law enforcement of being personally obsessed with Hunter and that’s why charges were brought against him. You crazy fools, you committed crimes and people noticed. They don’t care about who you are and they’re not “out to get you”. They’re out to enforce laws. They weren’t looking at you and trying to hurt you; they found criminal behavior and you happened to be on the other end of it, so get over yourself. The Pardon The official pardon text reads: A Full and Unconditional Pardon For those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted (including any that have resulted in convictions) by Special Counsel David C. Weiss in Docket No. 1:23-cr-00061-MN in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and Docket No. 2:23-CR-00599-MCS-1 in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Holy crap, can he do that? In a word, yes, or at least probably. I do have one issue with it, however, and that is this: No single person knows every single action taken by another person over a 10 year period, therefore Joe doesn’t know all of what Hunter has done, therefore Joe doesn’t even know what he is pardoning Hunter for. There could be untold atrocities that Hunter has committed, including conspiring with foreign terrorists, bombing attempts, child trafficking, financial shakedowns, or worse, a protest at the Capitol (haha). But seriously, the blanket pardon is so broad and all-inclusive that Joe doesn’t even know everything that he was pardoning. That is why I called it “reckless” – because it is. The real question is whether or not the Constitution allows for reckless pardons or only specifically named pardons. The US Constitution The US Constitution is simple, perhaps too simple, in its stance on pardoning power of the president. Article II, Section 2, Clause 1: The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment. “Pardons for offences” is specific. An offense is a specific thing. Notice it does not say “pardons for a person to clear any and all of their criminal activity, known and unknown”. That would be general. (https://www.askdifference.com/general-vs-specific/) Joe has pardoned a person, regardless of what we find out about him, no matter what. It is my contention that to pardon for an offence, one must know the offence and name it. The president should not be able to decide that he wants a particular person to be untouchable, shielded from justice by some sort of god-like immunity. There is no way the founders intended that when they wrote the constitution. Joe has recklessly pardoned Hunter for anything and everything, known and unknown, no matter what. The pardon went to his own flesh and blood who is known for committing crimes involving Joe himself, thereby shielding Hunter from prosecution and indirectly making this seem like a self-pardon, which has been declared invalid. The Law of Nations I like to look to the Law of Nations for clarity on things. Why? Because the US Constitution mentions it and it was a very explicit writing, going into great detail about how nations should behave themselves. Let’s look at “§ 173. Right of pardoning”. § 173. Right of pardoning The very nature of government requires that the executor of the laws should have the power of dispensing with them when this may be done without injury to any person, and in certain particular cases where the welfare of the state requires an exception. Hence the right of granting pardons is one of the attributes of sovereignly. But, in his whole conduct, in his severity as well as his mercy, the sovereign ought to have no other object in view than the greater advantage of society. A wise prince knows how to reconcile justice with clemency — the care of the public safety with that pity which is due to the unfortunate. https://www.foundationfortruthinlaw.org/Files/The-Law-of-Nations-or-the-Principles-of-Natural-Law-(1758)Emmeric.pdf So, let’s ask ourselves this: did the welfare of the state require Hunter to have been pardoned, and was it to the greater advantage of society? That answer is simple and everyone can see it. It’s a resounding NO. It was purely self-serving and an abuse of power. No one gained from it except the Bidens. Final Thought The president gets limited immunity for a maximum of 8 years. Joe gave Hunter complete, retroactive, unlimited immunity for nearly 11 years. Disclaimer: Not that I have fooled anyone into thinking otherwise, but I am not trained in law, or politics, or history. These are all my musings and contemplations which I believe to be supported logically, but logical doesn’t always translate into legal. Politics hunterjoe bidenlaw of nationspardonsus constitution
