Whenever someone says “That tells you everything you need to know about …”, it’s usually a very biased opinion. Writer #1, 2024-06-242024-06-24 People will say “that tells you everything you need to know about x“, as a way of handily dismissing anything that they are against. Sure, it could be used as a positive too, but it seems to always be used negatively. When someone uses that line, what they are saying is that they have cherry-picked some data, which on its own is very convenient to their point that they want to promote, and they want you to conclude in their favor based on that cherry-picked data without bothering to see any opposing information. Honestly, there is no particular fact that is “all you need to know about” anything. All data has context. Granted, not all context is relevant, but some is. And that’s all you need to know. Opinion
