Inspire Clean Energy (Scam or Legit?) Writer #1, 2022-05-01 I received this tempting offer in the mail and considered it for a moment. Then thought about the old adage “if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is”. Here’s the offer: Wow, is this my lucky day or what? My electric bill is more like $300+ every month so I’ll save at least $100 and I don’t have to worry about usage? AND they’ll pay me $100 for the privilege? Yeah, not quite. Here’s gotcha #1: The price does not include “electricity distribution”. I still have to pay my electric company for that. How much does that cost me? Well crap, that alone would make my electricity cost me $336, so I’ll be paying the same or more than I normally do. But wait, there’s more! It just hit me… I have gas and electric on my bill! How much is gas? $80+ So, that would make my energy bill ($336 + $80) well over $400. I cannot say this is a scam because I have no reason to believe they wouldn’t deliver exactly what they claim, but this fantastic sounding deal quickly turned out to be a waste, at least for me. I don’t know where the break-even point is on a deal like this, but I am nowhere near it. I’m happy that I looked before I leaped. Just Info Opinion
