Google docs, as if it weren’t cool and convenient enough, now allows you to upload any file format and store it on your Google account. This means mp3’s, movie files, text files, pictures, etc. You can sort files by directory, drag and drop them to different directories, and even share them.
What’s great about the sharing option is you can make the file public on the web or limit sharing to anyone with a link.

Storage Cost
You can’t beat the cost of file storage on Google.
- 20 gigs: $5/year
- 80 gigs: $20/year
- 200 gigs: $50/year
- 400 gigs: $100/year
- 1 TB: $256/year
Compare that with box.net which charges $9.99 per month for 25 gigs, or dropbox.com which charges $9.99 per month for 50 gigs, and Google is one heck of a good deal.
It’s amazing that Google Docs has transformed into a fully functioning cloud storage service.
That saves me. Thkans for being so sensible!
